just because/ i hear animals wheezing

in the saxophone of your skeleton

i am not entitled to a song

maybe if i stood up/ the dust

would start singing/ or applauding

before i shamefully/ puncture

my kneecaps/ and retreat

counting the steps backwards/ to desist

in a cave/ you have made of closed eyes

and veins/ stretching into the invisible

you/ leering out of a pit/ with gem eyes/ flaunting an unexcavated chest/ staring with scrutiny/ at something closing/ wherein an object/ a silver coin/ plummets towards the floor of an irrelevant ocean/ pool/

commanding:/ stay in the glass/

there is nothing to see/ outside/

only remains/ of abandoned glass/

sit

in a word

standing up

listen to pessimists/ saying

all has been said/ by other

pessimists

you who have hair/ and other human features/ be thankful 

if the forest/ gets there ahead of you/ have sticks and branches point/ instead of your fingers/ if trees know more than you/ be thankful/ if necessary/ be more than human/ like the mountain within you/ everything
